Improved cycling infrastructure for Lewisham

In September 2017 big steps towards improving safety for cyclists in Lewisham were made. These came in the form of the installation of a 1.7km section of new designated routes for cyclists as part of the cycle superhighway stretching from London Bridge to Greenwich. A new film school for Islington

Ladbroke House in Highbury, Islington has a really interesting history. It was formerly an A.C. Cossor Electric Valve Company factory, used to manufacture radios and x-ray equipment. Cossor are renowned for being the first British company to sell TV sets in 1936, making many of these original devices at the Islington site. Continue reading

Hounslow Council works to tackle ASB

At the start of December Hounslow Council revealed their plans to reduce the number of anti-social behaviour (ASB) problems linked to alcohol in the Borough. In a twelve month period to 31st March 2017 a total of 8,473 reports of incidents were reported to the police. This represented a 9% rise over the previous period. Continue reading

Developing Eastcote over the years

Eastcote has developed into a popular suburb in West London in the Borough of Hillingdon. The area has a great community feel because it was first established around an ancient village. It remained a mostly farming community until the 19th century. Like many areas in London the arrival of the railway was the catalyst for development. Continue reading

A popular suburb with an 18th century park

Canons Park in Harrow is a well established commuter and retiree suburb in Harrow, North West London. The area has a very interesting history and quite a diverse housing stock. Demand for homes is good, attracting people because of the wonderful open spaces. The local Tube station is on the Jubilee Line, making it easy to commute to Central London and on to Canary Wharf.
