Making Ilford the heart of East London
At the end of March a £15 million regeneration project got underway that will hopefully reposition Ilford as the heart of East London. The money is being invested in improving the town centre, beginning with the area outside of Exchange Centre and Chadwick Road. The first new homes on former council office sites in Lambeth are finished
In a previous blog we discussed the Your New Town Hall project in Lambeth and how it would free up land for new homes. The first of these were completed in March at the Wynne Road site to the north of Brixton town centre. The land was freed up during the restructuring of council offices and is now home to 25 brand new one bedroom flats. Continue reading
