The Aykon Nine Elms development is set to be the first fashion residence in the UK, overlooking the Thames in an area adjacent to Battersea, in the borough of Wandsworth. The 50 storey tower will contain 360 units, including stunning penthouses, one, two and three bedroom apartments, and Manhattan style studios. The homes will have city or river views and residents will have many luxurious facilities to enjoy including a cinema, owner’s lounge, indoor swimming pool and spa.
The development is unique because the whole interior will be created by Italian fashion giants Versace. They will do the conceptualisation, designing every single aspect of the building to ensure it is fashionable. Every unit will be designed with Versace’s lifestyle in mind, utilising the best building materials, decorations, furnishings and fittings.
The Aykon Nine Elms tower is set to be finished by 2020. The project is the brainchild of DICO UK property Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Dubai’s Damac International Limited. They purchased the 0.7 acre site for £600 million in April 2015 and set about developing their luxurious plan. Once complete the properties will be amongst the most stunning ones in this popular development area.
Versace Home, the arm of the fashion giant responsible for bringing their ideals to the private residential sector, has worked with the developer on previous projects in the past. They both share a vision for providing the highest standards, making the partnership a very prosperous one. Aykon is the largest, most exciting collaboration between the two to date and will give Versace a chance to bring its fashion to the heart of London.
London is still recognised as one of the most crucial luxury property markets in the world. Properties that can offer the best standards, great views, fantastic facilities and close proximity to world famous shops will always be popular with investors. Nine Elms is one of the biggest developments and will bring many new properties to the market. Aykon will be a fantastic addition to the ones already underway. As specialists in property management, sales and council leasing in Wandsworth, we look forward to seeing how this development will effect the property market in the borough.
