A formerly derelict house with a new purpose

We are the leading business specialising in council leasing Kingston upon Thames has. There are many reasons why clients prefer to go with us over other establishments. One would be that we’re experts at obtaining high rents. Another is that we provide around the clock maintenance. As you can see, we go above and beyond to help everyone. We will do the same for you as well.

In recent Tolworth history, a homeless family has been lucky to find a new home. They moved into what was formerly an insecure property. Kingston Council had teamed up with a developer to make some huge improvements. The house, located in Fullers Avenue, was completely reshaped. It’s now a disability-friendly structure that the family desperately needed. For the previous 14 years, it was vacant.

Collaboration

The council worked with Cromwood Housing. They are a social housing developer who assisted with financing for the construction efforts. One part of the project was an extension to the two-bedroom house. It now has double the space and an en-suite bathroom. Furthermore, wheelchair users can access the entire ground floor with no problems.

The council did well in transforming the privately owned decrepit building. They couldn’t have done it without innovative thinking or collaborative working though. It’s now a proper home for a family that has special requirements.

The council said it wanted to repurpose other empty houses for local people too. In addition, they’ll be looking for more opportunities to collaborate on projects. After-all, the outcome from this endeavour has been excellent.
