Redbridge Council committed to protecting services

All kinds of stakeholders want to see local councils doing everything they can to protect services and improve areas. It’s very important to residents and communities. Additionally, it’s a good sign for investors. Redbridge has had an impressive 2025 and has fantastic plans for the next three years. We want to have a closer look here, then you can talk to us if you need any help. We support clients with guaranteed rent, property management in Redbridge and more.

A great year

Property management RedbridgeRedbridge Council celebrated winter 2025 with a recap of the work they had done during the year to improve the area. This includes tackling fly tipping, keeping streets clean with rubbish and recycling collections, repairing over 10,000 potholes, and much more. They’ve continued to invest in leisure centres, parks, libraries, and events to support the fantastic communities. It’s been a good year for schools too, with particularly strong rankings for local secondary schools.

Impressively, the local authority provides over 400 services in Redbridge. They’ve done well at launching new ones, including Pre and Post Birth support. At the same time, they have worked hard to continue providing vital adult and child care services.

Budget

One thing stakeholders have been waiting for is Redbridge’s budget for 26/27. We got to see a draft in the middle of last month. It provides some key information about what we can expect for the coming year and beyond. Speak to us if you want some help with property management in Redbridge or other key services.

The key headline from the budget is there will actually be more funding for the local authority in the next three years. This is thanks to the Fair Funding review, grants, ringfencing arrangements, and the Government’s own Budget. It will mean Redbridge has an extra £61.5m to spend, including £20m in 26/27.

Leader of Redbridge Council Kam Rai had praise for the funding increase and budget plans. He said “it’s a step in the right direction” after years of government cuts. It will help them to continue to provide essential services like social care and parks, and invest in the area.

Deputy Leader Vanisha Solanki was also positive about the plans. She said the funding will provide “much-needed stability” and allow more strategic planning in the next three years. Crucially, they will work to provide the best results for local people.

Redbridge Council’s draft budget will go before the Full Council at the start of March. So, we’ll have to wait until then to see more details about their plans. There is plenty to be positive about though, so keep an eye out if you’re a property owner or are thinking about investments.
