March has been a fantastic month for the borough of Ealing. We’ve had exciting news about three developments that will deliver new housing. Bollo Lane, Acton

The first development broke ground at the start of the month. Ultimately, it will create 900 new homes adjacent to Acton Town Station. One of the most fantastic things about this project is it will create a great mix of homes. In the middle of March, we also got the news that Ealing Council had chosen Countryside to be their development partner for a redevelopment project. This is an exciting step forward in the plans to redevelop the site, creating a new leisure centre and building over 300 new homes. It is part of an even larger project to create a regional park.

The notable thing here is we don’t know too much about the new housing yet. This part of the redevelopment only has outline planning permission. A full application is expected later in 2026. It will give an idea of the mix of tenures and the design of the homes. Critically though, Ealing Council said there will be affordable housing.

Merrick Road, Southall

Finally, just recently we also got the news that the Voyage development in Southall will be launching this summer. The scheme by SNG provides a collection of shared ownership homes. They are specifically targeting people who want to take a step on the property ladder, such as first time buyers and families. The properties will also appeal to commuters because the local station is easily accessible.
