Condition is crucial for successful lettings

Tenants will always prefer properties that are decorated to a high standard and properly maintained. They will have more pride in the home when this happens, and will generally take better care of it as a result. In some cases, you could even find tenants want to stay for the long term because of the condition. Continue reading

Living on the first floor

Blocks of flats are common in London because they allow more homes to be built on the same piece of land. They are also popular because buyer tastes have changed and buyers are more likely to look for a valuable single floor property rather than a traditional home. One of London’s most unusual homes

Hampstead Heath, mostly situated in the London Borough of Camden, is home to many stunning, multi-million pound properties. One stands out from the crowd because it only rises eight feet above the ground and is hidden behind a wooden fence. The confusing thing about this property is the fact that not only does it have two floors, but the living room boasts a twenty-five foot high ceiling. The effect is achieved because the majority of the building is subterranean. Continue reading

Direct Let with Bromley Council

Bromley is the largest of the 32 boroughs in Greater London, covering an impressive 57.97 square miles. The size is reflected in the population. It was estimated to be over 321,000 in mid 2014, making it one of the top six most populated boroughs in the city.

The large population makes demand for housing very high. Their Direct Let scheme allows property owners to lease a vacant home with help from the council, providing support, advice and additional security in the process. Continue reading

There has, however, always been a considerable number of people who prefer to rent. The number of people renting properties across London is increasing. The trends all indicate that flats are the most sought after properties for rentals, which, as you might expect, has seen many investors seek out blocks of flats to add to their property portfolios. Investing in property instead of stocks

For many years the stock market was the primary location for serious investors, but many investors today see the stock market as an unfathomable place. Property is a tangible asset that is much more favourable than a market where fortunes can be lost in a moment. Buy to let has been booming for the last few years, and many landlords continue to invest in properties to lease to tenants and secure their financial futures. Continue reading
