Ambitious plans for massive upgrades in Brent

Towards the end of October the Telegraph did a ranking of London Boroughs, comparing them on a massive 37 different factors in 4 categories. The plans

Lettings agent BrentBrent Council said it will invest a massive £26.9m on various upgrades and improvements in the borough. The goal is to enhance the infrastructure, especially roads, as well as community amenities such as parks and youth centres.

The biggest part of the funding, totalling £14.5m, is for vital upgrades. This includes repairing potholes in roads and uneven pavements. Both are key for improving safety in the borough. Additionally, there will be funding to upgrade old street lights and make areas safer. An extra £3.1m will allow upgrades of CCTV equipment in town centres to further improve security.

The investment plan will also provide funding to upgrade parks. Brent has lots of great green spaces, but some need upgrading. A total of £730,000 will support modernisation of numerous parks. Special focus is on improving playgrounds to support local families.
